Thinking about this since yesterday. In some of the best drama and horror films in history, the pivotal action is not seen.

At these points, they symbol of what happens can become visible, or there can sometimes be nothing, forcing you to listen and think.

So I picture you expanding this to an experimental level? Or is this even the direction you are talking about?

Now where's my cute video!

A lot of screws went into keeping that screen together. I had to pry the main-body case from the hinge, ruining it. The main screws are under the rubber feet around the screen. Good luck, let me see how it turns out!

I found your DIY on an HP DV1000 and I have the same model. How did you take the LCD apart? I found the maintenance manuals online but they only talk about removing the whole panel from the system. Great job btw. Your frame looks great.

Love this! As I am listening I am reminded of our notions of identity as related to our technological based culture. Because the job market often requires switching jobs approx. every 5 years and the borderless world that now exists with internet, people now move from place to place more often and must be ready to create a new family. So, in essence it becomes a necessity and a skill, and in some way this created family is an extension of one's constructed identity. Take a look at this superb lecture about identity and the internet. I use this in a class I teach called "Identity and Performance" http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=TPAO-lZ4_hU
