What other random string of letters could have been used? The inventor could have just used web> or kittehvideos~

The shitty thing is this phrase, being so arbitrary, it’s really hard to type! H-T-T-P [Reach over with pinky so you cant see it and press SHIFT and ) at the same time] [do finer acrobatics and casually yoga-jump down to /. CAREFUL! Don’t hit >. I know it looks really high tech but it won’t do anything to help. Yeah I know it’s super-easier to just press that one. FML. Okay–now press again.

Web creator apologizes for his strokes. – The Australian (It’s a global pandemic.)

What really grinds my gears is that we still see this godforsaken string everywhere you go! In advertisement in WIRED magazine because even the smartest people still don’t get that you don’t even need “www.” to boot. O, archane command line inteface! You and the modern browser are the ultimate ubiquitous eclecticy. (Is that a word? ..It is now!)

So this brand new iPhone thing–it’s pretty amazing. It’s going to revolutionize the way we interact with each other with Facetime. First of all, I’m kind of surprised it’s not called iFacetime. Secondly, in a world of text messaging and email where replies are not immediately expected, what are we going to do when Mom calls for a Facetime chat while were on the pot?

Video chat ettiquette is slowly evolving and we are learning best practices. “Turns out it’s okay to look away from the camera while you’re facing.” says Adam Lisagor from Lonelysandwich.

I want to get in on this newness! –This goldmine of untapped flash-memes. So heres my submission–not all facetime calls will be amazing.

So what’s your take? What might be the most embarrasing, puking-on-camera, mel-gibson-rant conversations you can come up with?

All this really is is a bolt with a locking nut on the other end. You need the locking kind, with the bit of plastic inside so it doesn’t come loose in your pocket or when you’re holding your keys over a storm drain.

Every time I think of this masterpiece I feel like the adult version of someone who loved Malcolm in The Middle. And I’m proud of myself for constructing similarities between the two shows just because Brian Cranston happens to be in both.

I was watching the frst half of MITM one morning just after the second half of The Andy Griffith Show. Hal was living vicariously through Dewey, concocting sinister plans to get a young girl to go out with his young son. This had to be it! This was the episode where producers for a new show were like, “you know what?” This is the perfect freaking guy! Dopey, Wise-looking, potentially evil. This is Hal. This is also the dude from Breaking Bad. I forgot his name.

I haven’t seen the second season. I hope they’ve changed it up a little and done at least a little something to keep my interest for at least one more season. You know, unlike Dexter.

Reasons why I don’t update blogs:

I am lazy.

When I think about it, I am half asleep and that keeps me up for another hour.

I spend too much thinking about how I can’t get back to sleep because I’m so anxiety ridden because I can’t stop worrying why I don’t update my blog.

When I do have time, I’m not thinking about updating blogs.

I’m reading other blogs.

I’m working.

I have time to update at work (lunch) but I’m too busy reading other blogs and not thinking about updating my blog.

All I can think about after not updating my blog is posts explaining why I don’t update my blog. (NEW GREAT IDEA)

But what happens when I regularly post to my blog of excuses for not updating my blog?

Is this when I sell out?

Surely this will be after my first million readers.

At that point, I won’t even care if someone thinks my blog of reasons why I don’t update my blog being updated so regularly is stupid and kitchy.

Spelling ‘regularly’ causes me too much anxiety.

Reasons why I should update more:

Writing is healthy.

???

Profit!!

I know no one reads this website and I know stating this fact actually lowers one’s blog-reading audience. But I am back!

I want to record the progress of my senior thesis project in an easy to refer to way, mostly a tool for myself. The project won’t start until next summer but experiments will show up on here as soon as possible.

THE PROJECT:

I want to marry radio and video to explain an idea: a narrative, documentary or abstract concept, that can not be more completely portrayed using only video (with sound) or audio alone. Portions of this “video” will be totally black. These radio sections might be stretches of time when our narrator explains the love one character is experiencing for another. Or drama may be created to only hear a car crash instead of see it.

I have just started to brainstorm about this project and I want to do some experiments. I want to learn how to use sound to tell a story. I want to start seeing life in the way I want my project to appear/sound.

So if you read this blog, and read at least to here, give me a comment! Let me know of an idea that you think fits my criteria. I may very well use it! And if I get a real comment from a real person, I promise I will respond to everyone who does so with a cute video. My word!
